The last year has seen very troubled times worldwide, but the classic car market has had an exceptional year with some amazing results in most categories. An outstanding event was the sale in August at Pebble Beach by Gooding & Company of a 1995 McLaren F1 which realised a new world record $20,465,000 for the model. These cars don’t come up for sale very often as there are only 64 in the world.
Of particular interest to UK enthusiasts and following its recently announced long-term sponsorship of the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace, Gooding & Company will be holding another sale at the 10th anniversary show of the Concours in 2022. The exclusive live auction will take place on Saturday, 3 September 2022. So, if you have some significant spare cash available this could be an opportunity to consider making an investment!
